Open Ended Cable Stocking (Galvanised)
A cable stocking, also called a pulling sock, is a woven wire mesh sleeve that grips a cable or cable joint along its length. This open ended cable stocking has no closed eye at either end, so it fits over a cable or joint at any point along its length rather than only at a terminated end.
The mesh tightens its grip as tension increases. Consequently, the stocking holds the cable securely during a pull or a lift, then releases cleanly once the load comes off. Basically, the harder the pull, the tighter the grip becomes.
