Cable identification is critical for electrical maintenance, fault finding and repair. Therefore, proper cable marking training pays for itself in any electrical installation.

Engineering Supplies runs cable marking training and label printing training for switchboard builders, electrical contractors and panel shops. In addition, our staff work with these identification and labelling systems daily, so we can recommend the best solution for each client’s needs.

What the Training Covers

We offer label printing demonstrations and cable marking training on site or in our workshop. Specifically, our training covers:

  • Label selection
  • Printer software installation
  • Printer setup
  • Printer software training
  • Label design
  • Label creation
  • Label installation
  • Printer component changeout
  • General printer cleaning and maintenance
  • Printer and software trouble-shooting and repair

Meanwhile, refresher sessions cover new label media and software updates.

Printers & Marking Systems We Train On

For example, courses regularly cover the Cembre MG4 thermal transfer system, the Phoenix Contact BLUEMARK E.CARD and THERMOMARK CARD 2.0 printers. Similarly, we train teams on marking software, media selection and consumables, including heat shrink sleeves, self-laminating wire labels and marker cards. Manufacturer details are available from Phoenix Contact.

Above all, hands-on time matters. Attendees print, fit and check real labels during each marking training session, so the lessons stick. Additionally, we supply starter packs of labels, cards and ribbons to match each printer, plus ongoing consumables held in Perth stock, usually shipped overnight.

Book a Demonstration or Course

First, tell us which printers and markers your team uses. Next, we will arrange a demonstration or build a cable marking training session around them. Consequently, your team learns on the exact system they run. Of course, existing customers can also book a quick phone walk-through for simple software questions.
