Engineering Supplies (WA) Pty Ltd is a family-owned distributor of industrial electrical supplies in Perth. Established in 1952, the business first opened its doors on Hay Street in East Perth and now operates from a shop front and warehouse at 146 Welshpool Road, Welshpool. For more than 70 years, we have supplied cable accessories, connectors, tooling and network hardware. Our customers span the utilities, mining, industrial and commercial sectors across Australia.
Our History
As the name suggests, Engineering Supplies began mainly as a supplier of tooling, machinery and engineering products. Over the years, however, the growing product range favoured the electrical industry more and more. Today the Perth business specialises in electrical supplies for low, medium and high voltage cable systems. In particular, we hold authorised distribution relationships with leading manufacturers such as Cembre, TE Connectivity, Raychem and Utilux.
Engineering Supplies has been under continuous family ownership since 1996, with Russell Telfer as Managing Director. Above all, the focus has stayed the same: deep local stock, technical knowledge and fast, reliable supply.
A Western Australian Business
Engineering Supplies is a Western Australian business and a participant in the WA Industry Capability Network. Our 17 permanent staff are all based in Welshpool, and there is no interstate head office. Consequently, decisions are made locally and customers deal directly with the people who hold the stock.
Certified Quality, Safety and Environment
Our Integrated Management System is independently certified by Citation Certification (JAS-ANZ accredited). It covers ISO 9001:2015 Quality, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety for the import and distribution of electrical supplies from our Perth facility. The system was first certified in 2023 and recertified in May 2026. Moreover, it governs goods-inward inspection, non-conformance control and risk management on every order.

Our range covers LV, MV and HV cable accessories, electrical lugs and terminals, and hydraulic crimping and cutting tools. It also includes cable identification, overhead line products, switchboard components and heat shrink. In addition, we are an authorised Australian Cembre distributor and a TE Connectivity authorised Raychem kitting distributor. How We Deliver Electrical Supplies in Perth
Engineering Supplies holds substantial stock in Welshpool and delivers with our own fleet across Perth. Meanwhile, overnight road express serves regional WA, with road or air freight interstate. For example, after-hours emergency supply, hot-shot delivery and next-flight air freight support breakdowns and shutdowns. Similarly, our services in kitting, tool repairs, tool hire and custom connectors keep projects moving.
