Description
Cam Buckle 25mm FRAS (Fire Retardant Anti Static) Woven Webbing
A cam buckle strap is a webbing tie-down strap fitted with a cam buckle. This is a spring-loaded lever buckle that tensions and locks the webbing without a ratchet mechanism. Cam Buckle 25mm FRAS (Fire Retardant Anti Static) Woven Webbing is a 25mm woven webbing strap carrying a FRAS (fire retardant, anti-static) rating. This suits underground or hazardous-area work where site rules call for FRAS-rated equipment.
Feeding the free end through the buckle and pulling it tight sets the tension. Consequently, the spring-loaded cam lever grips the webbing and holds it in place until the installer releases the lever. Basically, the strap only needs a hand pull to tension, with no ratchet handle required.
Cam Buckle 25mm FRAS (Fire Retardant Anti Static) Woven Webbing Lengths
Specifically, this range spans six strap lengths.
- 400mm
- 600mm
- 800mm
- 1000mm
- 1200mm
- 1500mm
Generally, the correct length is the one that comfortably wraps the load or bundle with enough spare webbing to pass through the buckle. Indeed, choosing too short a strap is the most common reason a cam buckle cannot be tensioned properly on site. Furthermore, a longer strap can always double back through the load, while a strap that is too short leaves no room to add length.
Applications
Installers use this strap to bundle, secure or tie down cable reels, equipment or loose items during transport or storage in FRAS-rated work areas. Accordingly, installers should confirm the strap suits the specific load and environment before use, since length alone does not confirm suitability for every application. Also, a cam buckle strap and a ratchet strap use different tensioning mechanisms, so the correct product type should be confirmed for the job before ordering.
