- Nominal insulation wall: 0.6 mm for both sizes.
Cable sizes
Choose the conductor area to suit the circuit. The industry terms 3 mm and 4 mm identify cable sizes; they do not mean 3 mm² or 4 mm² of copper.
| Tyree code | Industry size | Conductor area | Strands / diameter | Nominal outside size |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MFS21603 | 3 mm | 1.13 mm² | 14 / 0.32 mm | 2.6 × 5.9 mm |
| MFS22603 | 4 mm | 1.84 mm² | 23 / 0.32 mm | 3.1 × 6.7 mm |
Tyree lists current ratings of 16 A for MFS21603 and 22 A for MFS22603 at 30°C under JASO D609. However, derating factors apply as conditions change. Check the manufacturer’s guidance together with the circuit load, cable length and installation conditions before choosing a size.
