Utilux UT#38C Hydraulic Crimper
The Utilux UT#38C hydraulic crimper is a heavy-duty hand-operated hydraulic tool designed for professional crimping of compatible copper and aluminium compression connectors.
The #38C produces 11.6 tonnes of hydraulic output, commonly described as a 12-tonne tool, and accepts the full range of Utilux 38 Series crimp dies.
With the appropriate die fitted, the tool can perform full hexagonal or indent crimping across conductor sizes up to 300mm².

Two-Stage Hydraulic Operation
The UT#38C uses a two-stage hydraulic system.
The first stage advances the crimping ram rapidly toward the connector. Once crimping resistance increases, the system transitions to the high-pressure stage to complete the compression.
This arrangement reduces unnecessary pumping while retaining the force required for larger connectors.
The rotating head also allows the operator to reposition the crimping head around the cable rather than having to reposition the complete tool.
