Utilux Single Cord End Terminals (Boot Lace Ferrules)
A cord end terminal, also called a boot lace ferrule, sleeves a stranded conductor’s bare end so it seats securely in a screw or spring-cage terminal block. These single cord end terminals cover conductor sizes from 0.5mm² to 35mm², colour-coded to the DIN 46228 standard used across the industry.
A crimping tool compresses the ferrule onto the conductor. Consequently, the stranded wires stay bundled together under the terminal screw, rather than fraying or spreading out as bare strands often do. Significantly, this also stops individual strands breaking off inside the terminal block over time.
