Choosing the Correct Cable Sleeve
The best sleeve depends on the application.
For example, flexible PVC tubing provides a practical solution for general cable protection and identification. In comparison, silicone and glass-fibre products suit applications requiring higher operating temperatures.
Expandable braid works well for cable bundles where flexibility and mechanical protection are more important than electrical insulation.

PVC Flexible Tubing provides a flexible sleeving solution for electrical wiring, cable protection, identification and general industrial applications.
Available in 1mm to 30mm internal diameters, with black, clear and green stocked across a broad range of sizes. Selected sizes are also available in red, white and yellow.
Supplied in roll lengths from 25m to 200m, depending on the selected size and colour.

SleevingVidaflex SD550 Silicone Glass Sleeving
Vidaflex SD550 Silicone Glass Sleeving provides flexible high-temperature electrical insulation for cables, winding leads and electrical equipment.
The sleeving uses a braided E-glass fibre core with a smooth silicone elastomer coating, providing Class H insulation for continuous operation from -60°C to +180°C, with short-term exposure up to 250°C.
Available from 2mm to 25mm internal diameter.
