Raytech Magic Gel
Raytech Magic Gel is a two-component insulating and sealing compound designed for electrical cable connections, joint enclosures and junction boxes.
After mixing, the low-viscosity gel flows around cables, terminals and other components before cross-linking. As a result, it creates an insulating and sealing layer around the electrical connection.
Raytech also designs the cured material to remain re-enterable, which allows technicians to access the connection again for inspection, modification or maintenance.

Because the gel flows before curing, it can surround components and fill voids inside a suitable enclosure.
IP68 Electrical Sealing
When installed inside an appropriate enclosure, Raytech specifies Magic Gel as capable of providing an IP68 degree of protection.
However, the IP68 result applies to the complete gel-filled enclosure, not to loose gel by itself. Therefore, always use a suitable casing and install the product according to the enclosure and manufacturer instructions.
Re-Enterable Insulating Gel
One of the key advantages of Magic Gel over many traditional hard-setting compounds is its re-enterable nature.
After curing, technicians can access the electrical connection again rather than destroying a rigid resin encapsulation. Consequently, the product suits installations where future testing, maintenance or modification may be required.
Raytech specifically lists re-entry after long service periods as a feature of Magic Gel.
Magic Gel vs Wonder Gel
Raytech Wonder Gel provides another option for electrical insulation and sealing.
Magic Gel uses a two-component system that cross-links after mixing. In comparison, Wonder Gel is supplied as a single-component, already cross-linked gel.
Therefore, the preferred product depends on the installation method, required pack size and whether the user wants a mixed two-part system or a ready-to-use gel.
Magic Gel vs Magic Power Gel
Raytech Magic Power Gel is another two-component product within the Raytech filler range.
Magic Power Gel uses a single dual-compartment bottle format and has a more adhesive, self-amalgamating consistency. In comparison, standard Magic Gel uses a low-viscosity formulation designed to flow around the contents of the enclosure.
