B1300L-CT Crimping Tool

Description

The Cembre B1300L-CT crimping tool is a heavy-duty 18V battery hydraulic crimper for installing electrical compression connectors on conductors from 10 to 400 mm².

It develops 132 kN of nominal crimping force and uses Cembre’s standard 130 kN die system. However, unlike the standard B1300-CT, the B1300L-CT features an enlarged 42 mm C-head opening.

Therefore, operators gain extra clearance around larger connectors and can remove the tool from the crimping area more easily after completing the crimp.

The Australian B1300L-CT configuration also includes the appropriate AUS/NZ battery charger.

The B1300L-CT combines powerful hydraulic crimping with cordless 18V battery operation.

Its twin-speed hydraulic system first advances the ram rapidly towards the connector. Then, the tool automatically changes to a slower, higher-force crimping stage.

As a result, operators get fast die positioning together with the force required for large electrical terminations.

In addition, the self-contained cordless design eliminates the need for an external hydraulic pump and hose.

B1300L-CT 42 mm C-Head

The key feature of the B1300L-CT crimping tool is its enlarged open C-head.

The jaw opens to approximately 42 mm, compared with 26 mm on the standard B1300-C platform. Therefore, the larger opening provides extra clearance around cables, connectors and completed crimps.

Cembre specifically designed this larger opening to make it easier to remove the tool from the crimping area.

In addition, the head rotates through 180°. As a result, operators can adjust the crimping position when working in switchboards, substations, cable installations and other restricted spaces.

132 kN Battery Hydraulic Crimping

The tool develops 132 kN of nominal crimping force and suits electrical compression connectors from 10 to 400 mm².

Depending on the connector and selected die, supported crimping profiles include:

Hexagonal crimping
Indent crimping
Oval crimping
Radial crimping
Circular crimping

Therefore, one tool can support a broad range of heavy-duty cable lug and connector applications.

However, always select the correct Cembre die for the connector type, conductor size and required crimp profile.

B1300L-CT EPS Pressure Monitoring

The B1300L-CT uses an EPS electronic pressure sensor to monitor hydraulic pressure during each crimping cycle.

As a result, the tool can monitor the force developed and provide operating feedback through the integrated display.

In addition, a quick pressure-release button allows operators to release hydraulic pressure when required.

Meanwhile, a protected operating button helps reduce accidental activation.

B1300L-CT OLED Display and SMARTOOL

An integrated OLED display provides operating information directly on the tool.

B1300L-CT Crimping Die Compatibility

The B1300L-CT crimping tool uses the standard die system shared with compatible Cembre 130 kN crimping tools and hydraulic heads.

For example, compatible dies are also used with products such as the Cembre RHC131 Hydraulic Crimping Head and HT131-C Manual Hydraulic Crimping Tool, subject to the connector and application.

Therefore, businesses that already operate Cembre 130 kN tooling can share compatible dies across multiple tools.

Crimping dies are sold separately unless otherwise specified.

B1300L-CT vs Standard B1300-CT

The B1300L-CT and standard B1300-CT share the same fundamental 132 kN crimping platform and 10–400 mm² application range.

However, the main difference is the crimping head.

The B1300L-CT has a 42 mm jaw opening, while the standard B1300-CT uses a smaller 26 mm opening.

Therefore, the B1300L-CT is particularly useful where operators need additional clearance around large connectors or have difficulty removing a standard C-head tool after crimping.

The trade-off is size and weight. The longer-head version weighs approximately 8 kg with battery, while the standard version is more compact.
