Description
KSS Nylon Cable Glands
KSS nylon cable glands provide a secure entry point for cables passing into electrical panels, control boxes, enclosures and equipment.
The AG series uses a Nylon 66 gland body with a flexible TPE sealing insert. Tightening the compression nut closes the seal around the cable, helping to hold it securely while providing protection against dust and water.
KSS specifies the metric AG range for IP68 protection when correctly assembled and installed.
KSS Nylon Cable Gland Features
- Black Nylon 66 construction
- UL94V-2 flame-rated material

Select the gland according to both the cable outside diameter and the required mounting thread.
Cable Gland Applications
The KSS AG range suits applications including:
- Switchboards
- Control panels
- Electrical enclosures
- Junction boxes
- Machinery
- Industrial equipment
- OEM assemblies
- Instrumentation
- Solar equipment
- General electrical installations
The compression system helps secure the cable while the sealing components help prevent dust and water from entering the enclosure.
Nylon 66 Compression Design
The gland mounts through a threaded or clearance hole in the enclosure.
After mounting the gland body, insert the cable through the sealing ring and tighten the outer compression nut.
As the nut tightens, the internal sealing element closes around the cable. Therefore, selecting a gland with the correct cable OD range is important for both cable retention and sealing performance.
Choosing the Correct Cable Gland
Choose a cable gland according to:
- Cable outside diameter
- Thread size
- Enclosure wall or mounting arrangement
- Required IP protection
- Environmental conditions
- Cable movement and strain requirements
