Because a metal gland suits applications needing a more robust cable entry than a nylon equivalent, checking the enclosure’s mounting thread and the cable’s outside diameter against the table above is recommended before ordering. Therefore, matching both figures avoids an entry that is too tight or too loose to seal correctly.
Additionally, this range covers eight thread sizes, suiting everything from small control panels to larger switchboard enclosures. Also, a matching Termco metal locknut is available for each thread size to secure the gland from inside the enclosure.
Generally, the correct locknut for each thread size is sold separately, so check both parts are on the order before installing a new enclosure entry.
