Description

The KA parallel clamp is a compact connector for heavy-duty service connections. It has a high-strength copper alloy body and stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers. In addition, neoprene rings hold the bolts in place during fitting, helping to prevent loose parts from being lost.

KA parallel clamp size guide

Four sizes are listed on this page. Use both the cable area and its overall diameter to check the run and tap ranges for each part.

Construction and features

  • High-strength copper alloy body.
  • Compact shape that allows the conductors to be inserted into the clamp.
  • Stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers.
  • Neoprene rings that retain the bolts during fitting.
  • Separate run and tap size ranges for each model.

Choosing a size

First, identify the main run conductor and check it against the run column. Then check the branch or tap conductor against the tap column. However, the two ranges differ. Check both sides of the connection before selecting a clamp.

Also compare the ordering SKU with your project schedule. This helps distinguish the catalogue model from the stock code shown in the purchasing table. For example, when replacing a clamp, send us its markings and the details of both conductors.

For installation details or a conductor combination outside the table, contact our team before ordering. We can help check the required part against the available product information.

Catalogue and related products

The KA range appears on printed page 120 of the Engineering Supplies catalogue and page 2-8 of the Dulmison catalogue hosted on our website.

You can also browse our bolted connections and terminals and compare each product by its stated connection type.

Order and product support

Finally, select your KA model from the ordering table above. For help checking a size, call (08) 9258 8444 or email sales@engsup.com.au with your run and tap cable details.
