Description
Type Q bolted cable lugs
Type Q bolted cable lugs, also known as Kulugs, provide a mechanical connection for terminating conductors. Each lug has a brass clamp body and nut, with a round mounting hole in the palm. Tightening a single nut secures the conductor, while the bolted design allows the joint to be disconnected and the lug reused.
Choose a lug that matches the conductor and the mounting bolt. The cable cross-section, outside diameter and mounting size all matter, so check them together before ordering. This range includes seven listed part-number options.
Choose bolted cable lugs by size
The following sizes have matching details in the product selection and catalogue. Use the diameter range alongside the nominal cable size when checking a replacement lug.
| Part number | Conductor range | Mounting bolt size K | Length L |
|---|---|---|---|
| H1802 | 10–16 mm²; 4.05–5.10 mm diameter | M8 | 41 mm |
| H1803 | 25–35 mm²; 6.75–7.65 mm diameter | M10 | 53 mm |
| H1804 | 50–70 mm²; 8.90–10.70 mm diameter | M12 | 60 mm |
| H1805 | 70–95 mm²; 10.70–12.60 mm diameter | M12 | 65 mm |
| H1807 | 185–240 mm²; 17.64–20.25 mm diameter | M20 | 86 mm |
H1806 and H1806A are also listed. Please contact us to confirm the part number and conductor size for either of these two options before purchase.
Check the connection space
First, compare the mounting bolt size with the terminal or equipment connection. Then check that there is room for the lug palm, conductor entry and access to the clamp nut. The catalogue drawing shows the width, height and palm thickness for each size.
The round mounting hole is a key feature of this Type Q range. If your specification calls for a slotted palm, send us the required part details so we can check the correct lug. Also follow the applicable installation instructions for conductor preparation and tightening.
