Cembre RHTEP hydraulic head for rail bush installation
The Cembre RHTEP hydraulic head kit installs AR60D, AR260D and AR65 rail web bush connections. It combines an RHTEP-S head with matching mandrels, a hole gauge and a metal storage case for railway electrical connection work.
A compatible external pump powers the head. The head pulls a calibrated mandrel through the conductive bush, expanding the bush into the prepared rail web hole. This establishes the bush connection before the conductor and fastening hardware are assembled.
What is included in this kit?
- 1 × RHTEP-S hydraulic bush installation head
- 2 × OG13.2 mandrels
- 1 × CAL19.20 mandrel installation tool and hole go/no-go gauge
- 1 × AR260 washer kit
- 1 × VAL-RHTEP metal case
The CAL19.20 gauge serves two purposes: checking the prepared hole and helping screw the mandrel into the head. The case keeps the head and its small tooling together for storage and transport.
Applications and compatible accessories
Use the standard kit with AR60D, AR260D and AR65 rail web connection kits. Check the connection code before choosing tooling, because other AR systems require different accessories.
For AR67 connections, the related AR67-INST installation kit provides the dedicated OG6.5 plunger, CAL8.85 gauge and M9M5 adaptor. Include this accessory requirement when requesting a quote for work involving AR67 bushes.

Selection, use and care
First confirm the rail bush type, hole gauge, mandrel and pump connection. The pump and hose must suit the head’s operating requirements. When enquiring, tell us whether you already have a pump and hose so we can help check the setup.
Follow the official Cembre RHTEP-S operation and maintenance manual. Release hydraulic pressure before disconnecting the hose, keep moving parts clean and store the head in its case after use.
