TE longrod insulators with silicone housing
These TE longrod insulators have a composite body, grey silicone housing and CT couplings. Three variants are available, with listed strain ratings of 70 or 120 kN. Choose the full part number to match the required mechanical rating, voltage characteristics and creepage distance.
First, check the complete SKU against your specification. The two 235 kV impulse withstand options have the same listed nominal system voltage and creepage distance. However, their strain ratings differ. The 425 kV impulse withstand option has a longer nominal creepage distance of 2120 mm.

The electrical figures, housing material and coupling code are listed on page 138 of the Engineering Supplies catalogue. The strain ratings are shown against the individual product options. All three use the CT coupling designation.
Check voltage and fitting requirements
Lightning impulse withstand voltage is different from nominal system voltage. The catalogue does not give a nominal system voltage for LR-CS120CT425-2120CSG. Therefore, confirm that requirement before selecting this variant.
Also, keep creepage distance separate from overall length and dry arcing distance. To check physical fit, use a drawing for the exact part number. The shared photograph illustrates the range; it does not establish the length or shed count of each option.
- Match the specified strain rating to the selected SKU.
- Check the system voltage, impulse withstand and creepage requirements.
- Confirm the CT end fittings and mating hardware from the assembly drawing.
- Check the required length, clearances and quantity before ordering.
