Description
Termco Bullet Terminals – 0.5–1.5mm² Red
Bullet terminals crimp onto a stripped conductor and present a round pin and a matching round socket. Engineering Supplies sells the pin and socket as separate male and female halves rather than one fixed pair. Termco red bullet terminals suit stranded conductors from 0.5mm² to 1.5mm², matching the red colour code.
Because the pin pushes straight into the socket, the joint connects and disconnects by hand. Consequently, bullet terminals suit an in-line joint that comes apart occasionally, rather than a permanent stud or screw connection.
Male and Female Terminals
Specifically, this range is available in two halves:
- Male bullet terminal — the round pin
- Female bullet terminal — the matching round socket
In addition, customers can order each half on its own. This lets them replace a damaged or missing half without buying a full pair.
Applications
Installers use bullet terminals for switchboard wiring, extension leads and control panel connections. These applications need an in-line joint that installers can pull apart for servicing or extension. Accordingly, this range covers a common in-line disconnect for this conductor size.
In all cases, correct crimping requires a ratchet crimping tool suited to insulated terminals in this conductor and colour range.
