Description
Termco Fork Terminals – 2.5–6.0mm² Yellow
Fork terminals crimp onto a stripped conductor and present an open, U-shaped end rather than a closed ring. Termco yellow fork terminals suit stranded conductors from 2.5mm² to 6.0mm², matching the yellow colour code.
Because the fork is open on one side, it slides under a terminal stud or screw without removing the fastener first. Consequently, installers often reach for fork terminals when a stud is hard to lift out, or when a connection needs a quick swap during servicing.
Stud Sizes and Insulation Styles
Specifically, this range covers stud sizes from 3mm to 6mm, in a Straight fork style, available in three insulation styles:
- Insulated — standard colour-coded insulated barrel
- Twin Grip Insulated — an alternative insulated design within the same range
- Uninsulated — bare terminal for heat-shrink or other separate insulation
Applications
Installers use fork terminals for switchboard wiring, control panel connections and earthing points where they need to remove or service a stud-mounted terminal without first taking out the screw. Accordingly, this range covers the stud sizes commonly found on switchboards and terminal blocks.
In all cases, correct crimping requires a ratchet crimping tool suited to insulated terminals in this conductor and colour range.
