Termco Ring Terminals – 0.5–1.5mm² Red
Ring terminals, also called eyelet terminals, crimp onto a stripped conductor. They fit over a screw or stud on a terminal block, busbar or component. Termco red ring terminals suit stranded conductors from 0.5mm² to 1.5mm², matching the red colour code.
Because the ring closes fully around the stud, the terminal stays connected even if the fixing screw or nut loosens slightly. Therefore, ring terminals are a common choice wherever vibration or repeated access could otherwise work a terminal loose.
Available Stud Sizes and Insulation Styles
Specifically, this range covers the following stud sizes:
- 3mm, 3.7mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm stud sizes
In addition, each stud size is available in three insulation styles:
- Insulated — standard colour-coded insulated barrel
- Twin Grip Insulated — an alternative insulated design within the same range
- Uninsulated — bare terminal for heat-shrink or other separate insulation
Applications
Installers use ring terminals for switchboard wiring, equipment earthing, control panels and general low-voltage wiring wherever a conductor terminates onto a threaded stud or screw terminal. Accordingly, this range covers the common stud sizes found on terminal blocks, earth bars and equipment lugs.
In all cases, correct crimping requires a ratchet crimping tool suited to insulated terminals in this conductor and colour range.
