Termco Parallel Connectors

Parallel connectors crimp two stripped stranded conductors side by side inside one sleeve, rather than end to end. This gives a parallel splice or tap rather than an in-line joint. Termco parallel connectors suit stranded conductors from 0.5mm² to 6.0mm², colour-coded to match conductor size.

Because the two conductors run alongside each other through the sleeve, parallel connectors suit a tap-off point on an existing run. Consequently, they are a common choice where a branch circuit needs to join a main conductor without cutting it.

Sizes and Colour Coding

Specifically, this range covers three conductor sizes, each colour-coded to match the wire gauge, in line with the same colour code used across the wider Termco terminal range.

  • 0.5mm² – 1.5mm² – Red
  • 1.5mm² – 2.5mm² – Blue
  • 2.5mm² – 6.0mm² – Yellow

Applications

Installers use parallel connectors wherever a branch or tap-off conductor needs to join a main run without breaking it. Accordingly, this range covers the standard sizes found in this equipment.

In all cases, correct crimping requires a crimping tool suited to this conductor size range. Because the two conductors stay side by side rather than being cut and re-joined, the main run keeps its full length and strength. This makes parallel connectors a practical choice where a run cannot easily be shortened or rerouted to fit an in-line splice instead.

    Termco Push On Terminals (1.5–2.5mm² Blue) are quick-connect crimp terminals for stranded conductors from 1.5 to 2.5mm². They push together without screws or solder.

    Available as Male tabs and matching Female receptacles, in Half Insulated, Full Insulated and Uninsulated styles. Accordingly, tab sizes cover 2.8mm and 4.8mm widths plus the 6.3mm size.

    They come in Insulated, Twin Grip Insulated and Uninsulated styles. In particular, ring terminals suit screw or bolted connections where the terminal must not disconnect if the fixing loosens.
