EP1 earth rod clamp
The EP1 earth rod clamp is for one earth conductor running parallel to the rod. It fits earth rods with an outside diameter of 17–19 mm and accepts conductors from 16 to 120 mm². The Engineering Supplies part number is ER-EP1.
This arrangement keeps the conductor alongside the rod at the clamping point. The body is a high-copper-content alloy casting, and the hardware is stainless steel. Check the rod and conductor sizes together when selecting the clamp for an earthing connection.

Selecting a parallel connection
Start by measuring or confirming the earth rod’s outside diameter. Then check the conductor cross-section and its actual diameter against the ranges above. Also, the conductor diameter is a separate fit check, so include it when comparing the clamp with a cable specification.
Next, confirm that the conductor route calls for a parallel connection. For an installation where the conductor crosses the rod, compare the GB2 earth rod clamp. GB2 has its own conductor range and supports either parallel or right-angle connections.
In addition, use the project design to select suitable materials and the required connection method. Follow the applicable fitting instructions for assembly and tightening. For example, if you are replacing a clamp, provide the existing part number and both connection sizes when requesting a match.
