Description
Termco Flag Disconnectors
Flag disconnectors are push-on terminals with a female tab set at a right angle to the wire barrel. This lets the connecting wire run parallel to the mating male tab, instead of straight in line with it. Termco flag disconnectors suit stranded conductors from 0.5mm² to 2.5mm², in a 6.3mm tab size.
Because the tab sits at 90 degrees to the wire entry, flag disconnectors suit tight enclosures where a straight push-on terminal would foul the wire run or an adjacent component. Consequently, they are a common choice on stacked terminal blocks and compact control panels.
Sizes and Colour Coding
Specifically, this range covers two conductor sizes, each colour-coded to match the wire gauge.
- 0.5mm² – 1.5mm² – Red
- 1.5mm² – 2.5mm² – Blue
Applications
Installers use flag disconnectors wherever a push-on connection needs to exit at right angles to the mating tab. Common examples include stacked relay bases, compact fuse holders and control panels with limited depth. Accordingly, this range covers the standard 6.3mm tab size found in this equipment.
In all cases, correct crimping requires a crimping tool suited to this conductor size range. The 6.3mm tab size matches the standard push-on terminal size used elsewhere in the Termco range, so mixed connections on the same wiring loom stay compatible.
