Description
Cembre HN-A25 Mechanical Crimping Tool
The Cembre HN-A25 Mechanical Crimping Tool is a compact professional hand crimper from Cembre’s CRIMPSTAR® range. It is designed for crimping Cembre A-M series terminals and L-M and L-P series non-insulated connectors from 10 to 25mm².
The HN-A25 uses a hexagonal crimp profile and provides a lightweight manual solution for electrical installation, switchboard manufacturing, maintenance and other professional cable termination applications. Cembre lists the tool at just 500g with overall dimensions of 229 × 78 × 19mm.
HN-A25 Crimping Range
The Cembre HN-A25 is specifically designed for:
- Cembre A-M series copper terminals
- Cembre L-M series non-insulated through connectors
- Cembre L-P series non-insulated parallel connectors
- Conductor sizes from 10mm² to 25mm²
- Hexagonal crimping
Cembre’s A-M terminals are manufactured for copper conductors, while the L-M and L-P ranges are copper connector systems.
Factory-Set Ratchet Crimp Control
The Cembre HN-A25 crimping tool incorporates a factory-set ratchet mechanism for crimp control.
During normal operation, the handles reopen automatically once the crimping cycle has been completed. This controlled action assists the operator in achieving a complete crimp cycle rather than releasing the tool part way through compression.
An emergency release lever is also provided, allowing the jaws to be reopened before completing the crimp cycle when necessary.
Treated Steel Crimping Jaws
Cembre manufactures the HN-A25 with treated steel crimp jaws designed for the mechanical demands of professional electrical termination work.
Combined with the tool’s compact dimensions and low weight, the HN-A25 provides a practical manual crimping solution where battery or hydraulic tooling is unnecessary.

Applications for the Cembre HN-A25
The HN-A25 mechanical crimper is suitable for professional applications including:
- Electrical installation
- Switchboard and control panel manufacturing
- Industrial electrical maintenance
- Cable harness assembly
- Equipment manufacturing
- Utility maintenance
- Rail and infrastructure electrical work
- Field servicing and repairs
Its manual operation also means there are no batteries to charge or hydraulic systems to maintain, making it particularly useful as a compact workshop or service-vehicle crimping tool.
Selecting the Correct Cembre Crimping Tool
The HN-A25 should be selected according to the connector series and conductor size, rather than conductor size alone.
For the HN-A25, Cembre specifies compatibility with A-M terminals and L-M and L-P non-insulated connectors from 10–25mm². Other terminal standards or connector ranges may require a different Cembre mechanical, hydraulic or battery-powered crimping tool.
