Cembre AR60.41-INST AR60A-41 Installation Kit
The Cembre AR60.41-INST provides the dedicated installation components required for the Cembre AR60A-41 double-sided rail web bush connection.
The AR60A-41 suits 40–44 mm rail web thickness and is commonly used for bonding 40TAL heavy-haul rail, which has an approximately 43.5 mm web thickness.
Because of the increased rail web thickness, the AR60A-41 requires specialised installation components in addition to standard Cembre hydraulic rail bush tooling.
Cembre AR60.41-INST Installation Kit
The AR60.41-INST adapts compatible Cembre hydraulic installation equipment for correct installation of the AR60A-41 thick-web rail connection.

AR60.41-INST for 40–44mm Rail Web Connections
The AR60A-41 provides a double-sided M12 electrical connection through a single 19 mm rail web hole.
Standard AR60D and AR260D installation components suit much thinner rail webs. Therefore, they cannot be used on their own for the AR60A-41.
Instead, the AR60.41-INST configures the Cembre hydraulic installation system for the thicker 40–44 mm rail web connection.
AR60A-41 and 40TAL Rail Installation
A common application for the AR60A-41 is electrical bonding of 40TAL heavy-haul rail.
First, drill the required 19 mm hole through the rail web.
For the best drilling result, use the Cembre CY190L Long Broach Cutter.
The CY190L provides the additional cutting depth required for thick rail sections.
Next, configure the compatible hydraulic installation tool using the AR60.41-INST.
Finally, install the AR60A-41 using either the HTEP or B1300TEP-T.
CY190L Drilling Requirements
The AR60A-41 requires a 19 mm hole through a 40–44 mm thick rail web.
Due to this increased drilling depth, the Cembre CY190L 19 mm long broach cutter is recommended instead of the standard CY190.
Using the correct long cutter helps produce the accurate rail web hole required before installation of the AR60A-41 connection.
Compatible Cembre Installation Tools
Cembre HTEP
The HTEP provides a manual hydraulic installation option for Cembre AR rail web bush systems.
When installing an AR60A-41, add the dedicated AR60.41-INST components to the HTEP system.
Cembre B1300TEP-T
The B1300TEP-T provides faster battery-powered hydraulic installation.
Likewise, the AR60A-41 requires the AR60.41-INST when used with the B1300TEP-T.
