The Cembre SR5000 coolant unit supplies cooling lubricant to compatible Cembre LD series rail drilling machines during rail drilling operations.
The SR5000 combines a pressurised coolant bottle, flexible hose and manual pump with a maximum-pressure valve. In addition, its quick coupling provides a simple connection to the rail drill.
This portable system helps deliver cooling lubricant directly to the cutting tool during drilling. Therefore, it supports effective use of Cembre broach cutters and spiral rail drill bits in railway maintenance applications.
Cembre SR5000 Coolant Unit
The Cembre SR5000 coolant unit uses a manual pump to pressurise the coolant bottle before drilling. Once connected, the hose supplies cooling lubricant from the bottle to the rail drill.
The quick-coupling system allows operators to connect and remove the coolant unit without complex fittings. As a result, the SR5000 provides a practical coolant supply for field rail drilling work.
How the SR5000 Coolant System Works
When drilling with a broach cutter, the guide bit controls the delivery and shut-off of the cooling lubricant.
However, when operators use a spiral drill bit, they control coolant delivery manually using the tap on the SR5000.
Coolant flow also varies with the pressure inside the bottle and the position of the tap. Therefore, operators can adjust the flow to suit the drilling operation.
