Description
The Phoenix Contact CRIMPFOX-RCI 6-M is a compact crimping tool for symmetrical insulated cable lugs in the red, blue and yellow size groups. It covers 0.5–6 mm² conductors through three marked die stations and forms an oval crimp. Side entry lets you place the terminal into the tool from the side.
Phoenix Contact CRIMPFOX-RCI 6-M features
- Three marked, colour-coded die stations.
- Oval crimp for the stated insulated cable lugs.
- Side-entry design.
- Pressure lock that can be released.
- Compact 204 mm overall length.
The pressure lock releases when the required crimping pressure is reached. As a result, it helps control the crimp cycle. Correct terminal selection and wire preparation still matter: use the die and strip length specified for the terminal you are fitting.

Match the tool to the lug
First, check the lug part number and wire size. Then match them to the die markings and the terminal maker’s crimp guidance. The colour groups help identify the available die choices, while the size ranges above show what each station covers.
The 0.5–6 mm² headline range spans all three stations. Use the individual station ranges when planning the work, especially at the larger end: station 3 is listed for 4–6 mm².
If the job calls for uninsulated slip-on sleeves with a B crimp, see the separate CRIMPFOX-SC 6. For a set with inserts for several listed lug and ferrule types, compare CRIMPFOX-M SET. These pages provide different terminal and size ranges to help you choose.
