Description
The Phoenix Contact CRIMPFOX 10S is a compact ferrule crimping tool for wire cross-sections from 0.14 to 10 mm². It forms a square crimp and accepts ferrules with or without an insulating collar. The tool combines side entry with a releasable pressure lock in a 175 mm-long design.

Phoenix Contact designed these pliers to reduce effort during use. The handle and die layout also lets you fit the ferrule in different holding positions, which gives you flexibility when setting up each crimp.

Choosing a square-crimp ferrule tool
Start with the wire size and the ferrule part number. Next, check the ferrule length and whether the connection requires a collar. Match the finished crimp to the terminal where the ferrule will be used, following the terminal maker’s guidance.
The listed DIN references identify the supported ferrule types. Use the stated 0.14–10 mm² range when checking your parts list, and follow the ferrule maker’s strip-length instructions before crimping.
For larger ferrules, compare the CRIMPFOX 25R. It has positions for 10, 16 and 25 mm² and produces a WM crimp. The two tools therefore differ in both size range and crimp profile, even though their ranges meet at 10 mm².
